Google Brings Messenger App For Android Phones

This app adds to the long list of mobile messaging apps currently available to the world now.

With this, you can send, not only SMS and MMS from Any Android device, but you can also use it as a stock Android SMS/MMS controller for Lollipop.


Interestingly, this device would be useful for most Android models using Android 4.1 or higher.

The app is versatile, because it employs many other interesting functionalities.

It can be used to take pictures and shoot videos from its interface directly. Audio messages can be sent directly to all your contacts added. Advanced search features help you locate contacts, conversation threads and files with ease.

Messages from unwanted contacts can be blocked as per your choice.

The user interface seems to be infused with a minor dash of color, particularly because it has colored text threads and emoji support. Message archiving is also available.

Since it is a Google app, the stock Android interface has been maintained and this features the new Material Design look, that is a feature exclusive to the Android Lollipop 5.0 at the moment. If you do not like hangouts, you might like to use this new app.

You might say that there are many other apps currently available that provide much more advantages as compared to Messenger.

However, this is a relatively new app, and to be more precise it is a Google product and might soon have more features than the others. At this stage its just too early to even think of trying to judge a book by its cover.

The application can do a good job by sharing pictures, videos and other such files from the chat dialog directly. As iterated before, the features are good enough to compete with the current apps available, as we get file transfers, text messages, and good search options.
